SAFETY & QUALITY ASSESSMENT SYSTEM (SQAS)
SQAS (Safety & Quality Assessment for Sustainability) is a system of uniform third party assessments to evaluate the performance of Logistics Service Providers and Chemical Distributors. SQAS assessments cover quality, safety, security, environment and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). SQAS is not a certification system; it is an assessment system that provides a detailed factual assessment report. The SQAS assessment reports allow chemical companies to evaluate their logistics service providers according to their own standards and requirements.
The Sustainability & Quality Assessment System is a system to evaluate the quality, safety, security and environmental performance of Logistics Service Providers giving chemical companies the ability to fully understand the strengths and weaknesses of accessed suppliers in critical areas of QHSE concern. RISK ASSESSMENT & JOURNEY PLANNNG
Prime Link uses Risk Assessment as a key to identifying areas within our business that are prone to higher risk rating. Taking a proactive approach to risk allows us to quantify potential impacts and probabilities and implement practical steps in an objective, impartial manner.
While all risks cannot be completely eliminated, selecting a logistics service provider that has done their due diligence and continuously uses risk management techniques to run their operations, can be a critical component of a comprehensive risk management plan. Moreover this can enhance an organisation's ability to proactively focus on the probability of uncertain events, while using risk mitigation methods to minimise disruptions after they occur.
Journey Management is a key area where Prime Link has focused their attention. Prescribing a route for cross border journeys helps both the operations dispatch team and the driver better plan for unplanned events. Identifying safe rest areas, emergency maintenance support facilities and locations on route to avoid during changing weather conditions can all play a critical role in ensuring the safety of the driver and our customers cargo.
Choosing a logistics partner that proactively manages operations risk offers our customers the opportunity to focus on their business and entrust their cargo with a trusted logistics partner.
